Hi! I'm Zoë, artist and teacher.
 

I have continuously worked as a practising artist for over the past 20 years, alongside my various careers. I occasionally exhibit my work at multiple venues, including the North Yorkshire Open Studios.   I am proficient and adept in many mediums, from watercolours to oils, specialising in charcoals and inks.  My work is prominently influenced by the landscape's environmental and ecological changes, particularly rivers and other watery locations. My creative experience is extensive; art has played a central role throughout my life as a practice and a vocation. I began drawing and painting at a young age, which propelled me to obtain a BA Hons Degree in Graphics, Media and Communications in 2002 from Bradford College Art and Design.
I have also received an MA in Creative Practice from Harrogate College, obtaining a Distinction.
My first job leaving Bradford College was as a full-time greeting card designer for Regent Greeting Cards. Raising a young family led me to spend 14 years working for a charity, Henshaws, teaching adults with learning difficulties. Since COVID-19, I have run my own small business as a furniture painter, this has allowed me a level of freedom to concentrate on my art practice and create these pieces that are now available for you to purchase.
